Kent 2nd inns 320-8 (Benjamin 101, Parkinson 7) lead by 411 runs
Chris Benjamin reaches a 78-ball century. That has been a brilliant innings.
Kent are completely in charge of this game at the halfway stage with a massive lead that they could extend tomorrow if they wish.

Matt Milnes holes out to Marcus Harris who takes a nice catch on the fine leg boundary to give George Balderson a third wicket. 5 overs left today.

The partnership between Harry Finch and Daniel Bell-Drummond has reached 88 as they take the Kent lead well past 200 and look to bat Lancashire out of the game.

Three fours in one indifferent over from Tom Aspinwall sees James Anderson turn to Liam Livingstone for the first time in this innings. The Kent lead now close to 200.

Kent have no need to take risks thanks to their lead and Harry Finch and Daniel Bell-Drummond are content to push along steadily,

George Balderson strikes as Sam Northeast edges a drive to Harry Singh at slip for 23. That ends a partnership of 55, the second highest of the match so far.

Kent batters Harry Finch and Sam Northeast have made steady progress since lunch although as I write, Tom Bailey beats Sam Northeast with a beautiful delivery but it doesn't find an edge. Seen a few of those over the last two days.

Into the afternoon we go with James Anderson and George Balderson hunting for a second Kent wicket.

Kent 2nd inns 12-1 (Finch 8, Northeast 2) lead by 103 runs
That completes a morning where nine wickets have fallen for 82 runs on a wicket offering a lot of assistance to the seamers.
Lancashire crashed to 87 all out at the hands of Keith Dudgeon (6-21) and Hasan Mahmud (3-32) and that 87-run partnership between Ben Dawkins and Daniel Bell-Drummond yesterday is looking hugely significant now.

This crazy, wicket-laden morning continues as Ben Dawkins edges the first ball of the innings from James Anderson to Harry Singh at second slip.

Lancashire 1st inns 87 all out (32 overs) trail by 91 runs
Lancashire have been shot out for 87 this morning as the Kent seam attack have wreaked havoc at Stanley Park, James Anderson the last to go bowled by Keith Dudgeon for 2.
Dudgeon takes the Kent honours with figures of 6-21 and Hasan Mahmud finished with 3-32.

George Balderson chips Keith Dudgeon to square leg for 4 to give the bowler his fifth wicket.

Joe Moores edges Hasan Mahmud to first slip for 8 as the wickets continue to tumble at Blackpool.

Marcus Harris edges Hasan Mahmud to second slip for 3 as Kent continue to enjoy their morning.

We've also had the first six of the day when Ben McDermott pulled Mahmud over midwicket, and this game continues to move on at a pace.

Lancashire's two Australian overseas batters Marcus Harris and Ben McDermott are battling hard to rebuild the innings in the face of some good bowling from Keith Dudgeon and Matt Milnes who have bowled the opening ten overs of day two.

Kent now make a change with overseas quick Hasan Mahmud coming into the visitors attack.

Keith Dudgeon picked up the two wickets that fell yesterday and he has the opening over of day two as we get under way in the Blackpool sunshine.

Sunny weather has returned to Blackpool and we will start on time at 11am.

Thankfully the rain has stopped and the covers are being taken off, so hopefully we might be able to get play under way on time at 11am.

I'm afraid the earlier dry conditions have deserted Stanley Park as rain has started to fall. forcing the groundstaff to replace the covers.

We have a better morning today than yesterday at Blackpool, where conditions are cloudy but dry at Stanley Park.

There are extended hours of play today and tomorrow to make up for the time lost yesterday.
Start 11am, Lunch 1.10pm, Tea 4pm with a scheduled close of 6.30pm or after 104 overs have been bowled.

Lancashire will resume their first innings on 17-2 trailing Kent by 161 runs with Josh Bohannon 4 not out and Tom Bailey on 0 not out.
