4.50pm MATCH DRAWN
Worcestershire 2nd inns 211-5, D'Oliveira 46 Waite 47
The players shake hands on the draw with Lancashire getting 12 points and Worcestershire 11.
We ended the game with Harry Singh and Josh Bohannon bowling to give the main bowlers a rest.
It was a great effort earlier to try and go for the win and at one point, with Worcestershire five wickets down, it was still a possibility.
Brett D'Oliveira and Matthew Waite ensured it did not happen with their partnership worth 97 in 29 overs.

Report and reaction to follow shortly.

4.15pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 170-5, D'Oliveira 28 Waite 30, lead by 159 runs
Not a lot to report since tea, Matthew Waite getting a big edge off Tom Bailey that fell short of Chris Green at gully, and this game is meandering to a draw. We've now got a stoppage for a lost ball that has disappeared into the bushes near the railway line.

3.40pm, TEA Day 4
Worcestershire 2nd inns 159-5, D'Oliveira 27 Waite 26, lead by 148 runs
The draw is looking very likely as we get to tea with only 32 overs left to play.

3.15pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 134-5, D'Oliveira 17 Waite 11, lead by 123 runs
Brett D'Oliveira and Matthew Waite are defending stoutly with the intent of snuffing out any possibility of Lancashire getting themselves into a winning position.
there are 40 overs left today, so still time for this game to progress but with each passing over, the draw is looking more and more likely.

2.45pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 114-5, D'Oliveira 12 Waite 0, lead by 103 runs
Paul Coughlin comes into the attack and Dan Lategan edges him behind for 48!

2.30pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 99-4, Lategan 39 D'Oliveira 6, lead by 88 runs
Chris Green joins the Lancashire attack, bowling in tandem with Tom Hartley. We have 52 overs remaining in this match.
Green only bowls one over before James Anderson replaces him and he has both Dan Lategen and Brett D'Oliveira playing and missing.

2.09pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 90-4, Lategan 37 D'Oliveira 0, lead by 79 runs
Kashif Ali chips Tom Hartley to Harry Singh at midwicket for 16 to give Lancashire a much needed breakthrough in this session.

And Hartley follows that two balls later with an absolute beauty of a delivery that turned sharply to hit Adam Hose's off stump.

1.44pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 80-2, Lategan 32 Kashif 11, lead by 69 runs
Tom Hartley continues in the afternoon and is joined in the Lancashire attack by James Anderson who has just had a big lbw appeal against Dan Lategan turned down.

1.00pm, LUNCH Day 4
Worcestershire 2nd inns 77-2, Lategan 31 Kashif 11, lead by 66 runs
James Anderson rolled the dice at 11am by declaring, and so far he is the only wicket-taker with 2-21 from his eight overs. Lancashire will be disappointed not to have had more, with all the bowlers regularly beating the batters outside edge without reward.

12.45pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 61-2, Lategan 27 Kashif 1 lead by 50 runs
Lancashire are applying good pressure here with Tom Bailey and George Balderson bowling a good line and length. The runs have dried up since the first wicket fell.

12.37pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 57-2, Lategan 23 Kashif 1 lead by 46 runs
James Anderson takes a break with figures of 8-2-21-2 and is replaced by Tom Bailey at the Grosvenor Road end.

12.19pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 47-2, Lategan 14 Kashif 0 lead by 36 runs
James Anderson strikes again with the first ball of his seventh over! Gareth Roderick pushes forward and edges to Keaton Jennings at first slip for 0.

12.15pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 47-1, Lategan 14 Roderick 0 lead by 36 runs
Somewhat ironically, we are playing in some of the nicest weather of the match, with blue skies and warmer conditions. Having lost 124 overs so far in the match, we are effectively still playing on a day two wicket that is still offering the bowlers assistance.

And Jimmy Anderson strikes, Jake Libby edging one that appeared to keep a bit low and was well caught by Matty Hurst low down to his right.

12.00pm
Worcestershire 2nd inns 36-0, Lategan 14 Libby 18 lead by 25 runs
Runs are coming fairly quickly with Lancashire setting attacking fields in attempting to gain some early wickets.

11.43am
Worcestershire 2nd inns 13-0, Lategan 6 Libby 7 lead by 2 runs
James Anderson and Tom Bailey have got the ball past the bat a few times already but so far the batters have survived a testing opening.

11.30am
Worcestershire 2nd inns 0-0, Lategan 0 Libby 0 trail by 11 runs
James Anderson with the opening over which is a maiden.

11.10am LANCASHIRE DECLARE
Play is starting at 11.30am with 8 overs lost, and Lancashire have declared on their overnight score of 281-8, leading Worcestershire by 11 runs.

10.45am DELAYED START
The rain has relented and the groundstaff are taking the covers off and mopping up. I don't think it will be a long delay and best guess is we might get going as soon as 11.30am.

10.35am
The rain has got heavier in the last few minutes, so a delayed start looks inevitable. The groundstaff have now fully covered the square so their mopping up operation will take some time once the rain relents.

10.15am
The sunny weather from 9.30am has been replaced by a squally shower that has prompted the groundstaff to put the covers on.

9.30am
We have a bright, sunny morning at Trafalgar Road ahead of the final day of this Rothesay County Championship match with Worcestershire.

Tom Hartley (22 not out) and Tom Bailey will resume Lancashire's first innings at 11am.

Paul Coughlin's record-breaking innings was probably the highlight of day three. You can catch up on that via our match report on the red button below.
