2.30pm PLAY ABANDONED FOR THE DAY
The rain continues to fall at Southport so play has been abandoned for the day.
1pm RAIN DELAY
Although we are approaching the end of the lunch interval, there is steady drizzle falling and no prospect of play at present.
11.35am EARLY LUNCH
The rain continues to fall and the umpires have decided to have an early lunch at 12.30pm.
11.00am RAIN DELAY
It has got brighter and the rain has eased in the last few minutes. The covers remain in place for now so there is no prospect of play in the immediate future.
10.00am
Unfortunately the conditions at Southport are no longer dry, and a light shower has forced the groundstaff to put the covers on.
9.30am
We have dry, if cloudy, conditions at Trafalgar Road this morning ahead of the start of day two of our Rothesay County Championship match with Worcestershire.
Keaton Jennings (10 not out) and George Balderson (17 not out) will resume the Lancashire first innings on 28-0 in reply to Worcestershire's first innings 270 all out yesterday. You can catch up on our day one match report via the red button below.
