Katie Mack returns to Lancashire

Katie Mack returns to Lancashire

Lancashire Cricket is delighted to announce that Australian batter Katie Mack will return to Emirates Old Trafford for a third time.

Mack, 32, has signed a short-term overseas contract for the next three Metro Bank One Day Cup games, which see Lancashire face Warwickshire away from home (13 June) and The Blaze (17 June) and Essex (23 June) at Blackpool Cricket Club.

The experienced Australian has previously enjoyed two spells for the Red Rose, in 2024 and 2025. In the 2024 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, Mack scored 324 runs at an average of 40, including one century, and hit 266 runs in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup, averaging 33, with two half-centuries.

Her runs in last season’s One Day Cup proved to be important for Lancashire. She helped the Red Rose to make a strong start in the group stages, with Ellie Threlkeld’s side eventually going onto to lift the trophy.
She will strengthen the top order in the absence of batting trio Darcey Carter, Ailsa Lister and Gaby Lewis, who are representing Scotland and Ireland respectively at the Women’s T20 World Cup.

Speaking about her return to Lancashire, Katie Mack said: “I am really happy to be joining Lancashire once again this summer.

“I have loved my time at Emirates Old Trafford over the past couple of years, so to be linking back up with the group is extremely exciting. I’m only here for a short time but hopefully my impact can be felt straight away.
“It’s obviously not been the start to the season we would have wanted in the 50-over, but there is still a lot of cricket to be played, so we’ll be looking to help turn things around in the next block of games.”

David Thorley, Director of Women’s Cricket, added: “It is excellent news for the group that we have been able to bring Katie back to Emirates Old Trafford.

“We know what she will bring to the table; plenty of experience, as well as high quality and consistency with the bat. It is certainly going to be a huge boost to have her around the squad both on and off the field.
“Katie has been a prolific run-scorer for us over the past few seasons, so we will hopefully see that side of her game again. I know she will be looking to leave her mark in the three games she is here for.”
