Lancashire name 14-man squad for Worcestershire clash
Lancashire Cricket Head Coach Steven Croft has named a 14-player squad to face Worcestershire this week.
The Red Rose travel to New Road to take on the Pears in round 11 of the Rothesay County Championship. They are looking to bounce back from defeat last week against Northamptonshire.
Club captain Sir James Anderson returns to the squad after missing out against Northamptonshire at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground last week due to injury. He is in line to make his first Lancs appearance since 10th July against Yorkshire in the Vitality Blast.
All-rounder Jack Blatherwick, who took 6-46 for the Second XI last week, is also included, but Paul Coughlin remains absent from the squad due to a shoulder injury.
