Liam Livingstone named in 13-man squad to face Kent
Liam Livingstone is set to make his return to red-ball action after being named in Lancashire Cricket's 13-man squad to face Kent at Blackpool which starts tomorrow.
Head Coach Steven Croft has named his squad for Lancashire's return to Rothesay County Championship action, with Livingstone, Sir James Anderson and Ben McDermott all notable inclusions.
Livingstone has not played in the County Championship since 2021 and signed a T20 contract with the Club ahead of the 2026 season. However, after answering the call from Anderson and Croft, the all-rounder is set to make his return to the red-ball format this week following an impressive run of form for Lancashire Lightning in the Vitality Blast.

Anderson will captain the side at Blackpool after returning to full fitness following the injury he sustained in last month's Vitality Blast opener against Surrey. The 43-year-old is the Club's leading wicket taker in the Rothesay County Championship with 31.

McDermott has also been named in the squad after signing a two-match red ball contract, in addition to his deal for the Vitality Blast. In 70 First-Class matches, McDermott has scored more than 3,500 runs at an average of 33.
The 31-year-old joins fellow Australian Marcus Harris as the second overseas player in the squad, replacing Chris Green, who was ruled out for the remainder of the summer with a fractured thumb.
Joe Moores is also named in the squad and the 17-year-old wicket keeper batter will be in contention to make his First-Class debut at Blackpool after playing six times in the Vitality Blast so far this season.
Lancashire are without Mitch Stanley due to a minor injury sustained while on duty with England Lions. Paul Coughlin continues to work his way back to full fitness, as Phil Salt continues his recovery from a finger injury with the ECB medical team.
Ajeet Singh Dale, Arav Shetty and Luke Wells remain long-term absentees, while Jos Buttler, Saqib Mahmood and Luke Wood are all on T20-only contracts.
