Ollie Robinson and Kasey Aldridge survive to reach stumps with Durham in a strong position at the end of day one.

Our match report and reaction will follow shortly.

6.00pm
Durham 1st inns 336-5 (92 overs) Robinson 21 Aldridge 3
That's a lovely straight drive for four by Ollie Robinson off George Balderson.
Durham fighting back after losing three wickets for 14 runs a short while ago.

There are 4 overs left today and in sunny conditions it looks like will get all of them in.

5.40pm NEW BALL TAKEN
Durham 1st inns 318-5 (88 overs) Robinson 10 Aldridge 0
Lancashire have taken the new ball after 87 overs and have handed it to Tom Bailey and George Balderson to hunt for more late wickets.

5.20pm WICKET
Durham 1st inns 306-5 (82.2 overs) Robinson 2 Aldridge 0
Mayank Agarwal dances down the track to Noman Ali but can't handle the spin, instead skying a catch to Josh Bohannon at cover to depart for 66.
Lancashire not taking the new ball, and that has paid dividends.

5.10pm WICKET
Durham 1st inns 301-4 (80.1 overs) Agarwal 63 Robinson 0
Colin Ackermann edges behind off Noman Ali for 6.

4.45pm WICKET
Durham 1st inns 292-3 (74 overs) Agarwal 62 Ackermann 0
A fine innings comes to an end as Emilio Gay steers a catch to Marcus Harris at wide first slip off Ben Walkden for 141.

4.20pm
Durham 1st inns 279-2 (68 overs) Gay 136 Agarwal 54
Emilio Gay strokes a lovely boundary to the vacant third man boundary to bring up the 150 run partnership off 232 balls.
He is then dropped next ball by Mitch Stanley off his own bowling, a return catch just above knee height.

3.40pm TEA Day 1
Durham 1st inns 247-2 (64 overs) Gay 112 Agarwal 50
Mayank Agarwal reaches his fifty off 101 balls in the last over before tea, with Tom Bailey operating as an off spinner in the run up to the break.

3.20pm
Durham 1st inns 229-2 (57 overs) Gay 102 Agarwal 42
Emilio Gay drives Noman Ali for four - his 14th - to reach his fourth century in 10 innings. his hundred came from 156 balls and is also his second against Lancashire this season following the unbeaten 159 he scored at Chester-le-Street in April.

It has been a fine innings, full of fluent drives.

3.00pm
Durham 1st inns 205-2 (52 overs) Gay 91 Agarwal 32
Not a lot to report from the last thirty minutes as Gay and Agarwal continue to build their partnership.
Lancashire are attempting to exert pressure by drying up the run scoring with George Balderson and Noman Ali into the attack at present.
Gay is into the nervous nineties, but is looking pretty unruffled.

2.30pm
Durham 1st inns 180-2 (44 overs) Gay 77 Agarwal 21
Emilio Gay and Mayank Agarwal continue to make steady progress this afternoon reaching their fifty partnership off 77 balls.

2.00pm
Durham 1st inns 152-2 (34 overs) Gay 59 Agarwal 15
Emilio Gay has played some lovely drives, and the England opener has reached his half century from 69 balls with 7 fours.

We've also had a third ball replaced now in this innings. Extraordinary.

1.30pm
Durham 1st inns 124-2 (29.3 overs) Gay 46 Agarwal 0
Tom Bailey has a second wicket as Ben McKinney has a swish outside off and nicks to wicketkeeper Matty Hurst for 71.

1.13pm
Durham 1st inns 117-1 (26.3 overs) McKinney 68 Gay 41
Big appeal for a leg side catch by Mitch Stanley off Ben McKinney as we get under way after lunch but to no avail.

12.30pm, LUNCH Day 1
Durham 1st inns 112-1 (26 overs) McKinney 64 Gay 41
The scoreboard tells you, rightly, that it has been Durham's morning after losing an early wicket, but Lancashire's bowlers have created chances, with two difficult chances not taken.

Just before lunch McKinney gets away with a mistimed pull that drops inbetween and just out of reach of three fielders. It's been that sort of morning, but credit to the Durham pair who have also played some lovely shots in a partnership of 102 off 139 balls. It's been an entertaining first session.

12.15pm
Durham 1st inns 92-1 (23 overs) McKinney 49 Gay 36
Keaton Jennings has been forced off after being hit on the left knee fielding at short leg when Ben McKinney pulled hard at a short ball from Mitch Stanley.
McKinney is then dropped on 49 next ball by Ben Walkden diving to his right at midwicket. He got one hand to the ball but it would have been a wonder catch if he had managed to hang on to it.

11.54am
Durham 1st inns 79-1 (20 overs) McKinney 40 Gay 32
Ben McKinney has 7 fours to his name, the sixth a lovely cover drive to bring up his 1,000 runs for the season.

11.39am
Durham 1st inns 53-1 (12 overs) McKinney 25 Gay 23
Ben McKinney gets a life after driving fiercely at Noman Ali with the bowler unable to hang on to a stinging catch. Difficult chance.

11.25am
Durham 1st inns 49-1 (12 overs) McKinney 21 Gay 21.
Stand-in skipper George Balderson makes a double bowling change, bringing himself on at the Sir James Anderson End and Noman Ali at the Brian Statham End.

11.15am
Durham 1st inns 36-1 (10 overs) McKinney 12 Gay 17.
Tom Bailey and Mitch Stanley have bowled pretty good opening spells while Emilio Gay has countered with three lovely drives for four so far on his return from England duties.

10.50am
Durham 1st inns 12-1 (4 overs) McKinney 5 Gay 0.
Well this is incredible, the replacement new ball has lasted just 21 deliveries and it is being replaced. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before so early in a match.

10.44am WICKET
Durham 1st inns 10-1 (3 overs) McKinney 3 Gay 0.
Tom Bailey will be no doubt delighted the ball was changed as he finds an edge off Alex Lees that is neatly taken by wicketkeeper Matty Hurst. Good start.

10.32am
Durham 1st inns 1-0 (0.3 overs) Lees 1 McKinney 0.
This must be some sort of record, as the ball is changed after three deliveries from Tom Bailey.
