Marcus Harris is left on 91 not out as James Anderson is caught and bowled by Bertie Foreman.

The game is meandering towards its inevitable conclusion despite the efforts of Marcus Harris and Tom Aspinwall who remain determined to take the game as far as possible.
Kent have both spinners, Parkinson and Foreman operating, as they look to wrap things up today.

Marcus Harris and Liam Livingstone reach their 50 partnership from 82 balls just before the break, and Lancashire have scored just over half of the required runs required.

We are just past the halfway stage of day three and that double blow moments has suddenly changed the complexion of the afternoon.
Liam Livingstone has joined Marcus Harris and taken three fours off Hasan Mahmud to get his innings off to a quick start.

Disaster for Lancashire as Ben McDermott is run out for 0 after the batters attempt a quick single but he is beaten by the throw from Sam Northeast at point.

Keaton Jennings sweeps Matt Parkinson for two to reach his half century off 95 balls with just 2 fours.

A fascinating battle is developing between the two batters and the two spinners with Keaton Jennings and Marcus Harris playing in a positive manner, determined not to let either spinner settle.
It's making for an enthralling passage of play, and Harris has just got away with an edge for four between wicketkeeper and slip off Bertie Foreman.

Bertie Foreman and Matt Parkinson continue in tandem, with Keaton Jennings sweeping Foreman for four and driving another boundary to midwicket. Inbetween those shots, Jennings edged a sweep between 'keeper and slip for another four. So, a pretty eventful over.

Lancashire 2nd inns 89-2 (Jennings 24, Harris 18). Target 424.
Spin from both ends in the run up to lunch with Bertie Foreman joining Matt Parkinson into the attack, and both spinners are finding some good turn.
Keaton Jennings and Marcus Harris survive to return for the afternoon session.

Marcus Harris is fortunate to survive after advancing down the wicket to Matt Parkinson, who is having his first bowl in this match, but missing with his attempted drive. Luckily for the left hander, wicketkeeper Chris Benjamin also missed the ball too.
Since then Harris has driven Hasan Mahmud for four to long-on.

A nice bit of captaincy by Daniel Bell-Drummond brings reward after he switches Hasan Mahmud to the North End with Josh Bohannon edging a regulation catch to second slip and depart for 26.

Hasan Mahmud has bowled three accurate overs taking 1-1 but his fourth over is an expensive one as Josh Bohannon hits 5 fours! Three were driven off over pitched deliveries, and when Mahmud twice dropped short Bohannon pulled him for two fours. 22 runs were taken from the over.

Keith Dudgeon drops short and is pulled emphatically for four to midwicket by Keaton Jennings.

Harry Singh is well caught at first slip by Ben Dawkins diving low to his left off Hasan Mahmud in his first over.

Harry Singh goes onto the back foot and punches a lovely drive for four through cover off Keith Dudgeon.

Lancashire begin their second innings in bright, sunny conditions with Harry Singh steering the first boundary down to third man.
To put the game situation into some sort of perspective, in terms of run chases, Lancashire would need to set a new record to achieve this. Their highest successful run chase is 404-5 v Hampshire at Northlands Road in 1910.

Hasan Mahmud is caught behind off Tom Bailey, so Lancashire need the small matter of scoring 424 runs to win.

And just like that James Anderson has his third wicket of the innings as Chris Benjamin edges to Harry Singh at second slip for 103 to end what was a great innings yesterday.

Tom Bailey bowls the first over of day three and that means Lancashire can now take the new ball.
James Anderson does just that, and he is bowling the second over of the morning from the North End.

We have dry, cloudy conditions at Stanley Park this morning ahead of the third day of our Rothesay County Championship match with Kent.
The visitors will resume their second innings 411 runs ahead with two wickets remaining when play resumes at 11am.
There are extended hours of play today with lunch at 1.10pm, tea at 4pm with the close at 6.30pm or when 104 overs have been bowled.
