Northamptonshire 2nd inns 94-0, Vasconcelos 65 Procter 29 lead by 241 runs
Northants skipper Luke Procter is playing a good supporting role with 29 off 66 balls and watching while Ricardo Vasconcelos, with the freedom the visitor's big lead is providing, is playing shots all around the wicket in reaching 65 off 60 balls. The left hand bat posted his 50 from 48 balls.

Northamptonshire 2nd inns 48-0, Vasconcelos 37 Procter 11 lead by 195 runs
Ricardo Vasconcelos has pulled a six into the temporary stand at midwicket and smashed five fours to have the Northants lead approaching two hundred. Luke Procter has dropped anchor at the other end, but he has now driven his first four through the covers.

Ricardo Vasconcelos has had a couple of close calls since lunch, getting an inside edge for four off Mitch Stanley and then a leading edge of the same bowler that flew high into the sky and dropped just in-between Noman Ali running back from square leg and Arav Shetty sprinting in from fine leg.

Mitch Stanley hits Chahal for six and is out next ball lbw to wrap up a disastrous morning for Lancashire.

Two more wickets go and it's Liam Guthrie who does the damage, trapping Noman Ali in front for 1 and three balls later having Tom Bailey caught at second slip for 4.

George Balderson and Noman Ali are doing their best to shore up this innings but the runs have dried up for now. That was a pretty disastrous spell earlier of five wickets falling for 33 runs in 56 balls.

Arav Shetty has produced another back foot drive for four, this time off Liam Guthrie, while Rocky Flintoff has his first boundary with a straight drive off Guthrie.
Some good, positive intent shown by these two young batters.

We have had a change of ball after just ten deliveries this morning and Arav Shetty has also had a 'life' with Nathan McSweeney unable to hang to a catch high to his left at midwicket, Liam Guthrie the unfortunate bowler.
Unperturbed, Shetty has just punched a lovely back foot square drive off Ben Sanderson for four.

We have another bright, sunny morning at Emirates Old Trafford for the third day of our Rothesay County Championship match against Northamptonshire.
There are extended playing hours again today to make up some of the time lost on the first day.
Start: 11am, Lunch 1.10pm, Tea 4pm, Close 6.30pm or when 104 overs have been bowled.
Lancashire will resume their first innings on 68-2, trailing Northamptonshire by 216 runs with Keaton Jennings on 16 and Arav Shetty on 13.
