Major matches confirmed at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in 2027
The ECB have today confirmed next year's international fixture list, with Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground set to host Australia on two occasions in 2027 - as England Women take on Australia in a Women's Ashes IT20, and Australia Men face the England Lions in a four-day fixture ahead of the Ashes Test series.
The home of Lancashire Cricket will host England Men against Pakistan in the Metro Bank One Day Cup on Wednesday 19 May 2027, before England Women take on Australia in a Women's Ashes Vitality IT20 on Friday 9 July 2027.
Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground is then set to host Australia Men against England Lions in a four-day fixture, starting Monday 7 June, ahead of the men's Ashes Test Series, and will also see the return of the Roses T20 against Yorkshire in the Vitality T20 Blast (date to be confirmed).
England Men return to Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Thursday 9 September 2027 to face New Zealand in the Vitality IT20, with England currently the number one ranked IT20 side in the world.
Lancashire Cricket Chair, Dame Sarah Storey, said: “We are thrilled to host the much-anticipated Women’s Ashes in Manchester next summer, following on from five highly successful ICC T20 Women’s World Cup matches last month. Women’s cricket continues to grow quickly, and we want to be at the heart of that to inspire the next generation coming through.
“We are also looking forward to welcoming Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia’s men’s teams to Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in 2027 for what promises to be some outstanding cricket, featuring many of the world’s best players.”

2027 Lancashire members will receive first access to tickets at the best prices, with memberships to be placed on sale later in the summer.
Due to expected high demand, Lancashire Cricket will once again operate a ticket ballot system, which will open on Wednesday 2 September at 10am and close on Tuesday 29 September. General sale will then follow on Wednesday 14 October for any remaining available seats.
