Men's Second XI squad named to face Essex in 2 day & 50 over fixtures
Lancashire Cricket’s Second XI are playing away to Essex at Billericay Cricket Club over the next three days.
The Red Rose will first play a two-day fixture on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th July, before facing the same opponents in a 50-over game on Thursday 16th July.
The second fixture holds plenty of significance, with the Metro Bank One Day Cup set to start next week. Lancashire's first game in the 50 over competition starts next Tuesday taking on Surrey at Sedbergh.
A number of first team players have been named in the Second XI squad and also includes Arav Shetty. The all-rounder has been sidelined with a fractured thumb since the end of April, making this game a significant step in his return to first-team action.
