Squad named for Northants clash

Squad named for Northants clash

Lancashire Head Coach Steven Croft has named a 14-man squad for tomorrow's Metro Bank One-Day Cup fixture against Northants at Wantage Road.

Academy bowler Luke Hands comes into the squad and replaces Mitch Stanley. Stanley, who has played the last two fixtures back-to-back, is being rested to manage his workload.

Hands – who made his debut for the Club in last year’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup against Somerset - has signed a short-term professional contract with the Red Rose.

As confirmed previously, the Club has made top-order batter Michael Jones available for Scotland, whilst all-rounder Paul Coughlin is still absent as he continues his own return towards full fitness.

After losing the opening game of the competition against Surrey at Sedbergh, Lancashire have won three on the bounce against Leicestershire, Kent and Nottinghamshire and currently top the group.

Northants have so far played four, won one and lost three and were beaten at home by Leicestershire Foxes at Wantage Road yesterday.

Squad to face Northants:

George Balderson*, Tom Bailey, Charlie Barnard, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Rocky Flintoff, Luke Hands, Marcus Harris, Matty Hurst, Keaton Jennings, Joe Moores, Arav Shetty, Harry Singh, Ollie Sutton
